"I love doing guitar lessons with Smoky Hill Music. The instructor teaches using a screen-share feature so we can both be looking at the same thing. He writes things out for me as well as shares music sheets. I pick songs almost weekly and he’ll teach me to play them. My favorites are Taylor Swift songs, and hopefully he isn’t sick of them yet. I first began lessons here about 5 years ago. It wasn’t long before the instructor had me progress from simple chords and strumming patterns to learning scales, modes and lead guitar parts. I can now read music and I really enjoy just noodling around with a backing track. I really like the Zoom meeting format. It’s much more convenient and easy to make a part of my weekly routine. I always appreciate how much we pack into a single lesson. “Learning the guitar” is so much more than I expected but I am really enjoying it!

They have learned to play a variety of music and songs, including country, pop, rock, Christmas and more. The Instructor has a great personality and teaching talent that my daughters really like. My girls and I appreciate his musical abilities, teaching style, and flexibility to reschedule lessons on occasion. My daughters are learning to play guitar and ukulele from the comfort of home, I don’t have to run them to and from music lessons. My daughters enjoy learning, and I can see the progress first hand.
